HISTORY OF TheTrailerStage

(I've got a thing for trailers:)

MyrtleMartinson’s 1950 Trailer was pulled out of the cedars behind the Old Evergreen Lodge, Detroit Harbor Road, here on The Island after a 60-ish year stay… She was pretty much dragged to Fiddlers Green on a November afternoon 2014  where she sat  until Spring of 2017  ... she was split open, reconfigured, outfitted with a killer sound system, and now she welcomes with open arms all who grace her front porch.

FIDDLERS GREEN IS AN EATERY, MUSIC SHACK & HANGOUT

Come to The Island & ENJOY...

Please Stop In!

THE BUILDING IS HISTORIC, THE CONTENTS UNIQUE.

Fiddlers Green has been around for 15years(wow😳) ... CHEERS TO 2023

The corner of Jackson Harbor & Airport Roads sits a piece of history!

The building has been here since the early 1920's.
It was moved from the school grounds on Main Road and brought to this corner.

The building was the Detroit Harbor Schoolhouse, the community grew & grew out of this one room school.

In 1860 the schoolhouse was built, in 1920 it was sold & moved.

In 1921 TED'S STORE started selling goods.

This corner has run the gamut from a full GroceryStore, Butcher, Gas Station, Auto Repair, Ice Cream Sunday Shop, Fiber Arts Center, Antique/Gallery Gift Shop....

On May 1st of 2007 the corner changed hands yet again.

Now, it's my turn.
